Detail

Crystagen (EDP) Peptide

1. Basic Profile

Crystagen, also known as EDP (Glu-Asp-Pro), is a synthetic tripeptide bioregulator developed by Professor Vladimir Khavinson’s research group at the St. Petersburg Institute of Bioregulation and Gerontology. It belongs to the tissue-specific short peptide bioregulator family.

  • Amino Acid Sequence: L-Glutamyl-L-Aspartyl-L-Proline (Glu-Asp-Pro, EDP)
  • Molecular Weight: 359.33 Da
  • Form: Lyophilized white powder
  • Half-life: Short in circulation (approx. 30 minutes). Its epigenetic regulatory effects persist long after the peptide is cleared from blood.
  • Core Target Tissue: Thymus gland and systemic immune cells (lymphocytes, macrophages, NK cells)

Crystagen is an active fragment isolated from Thymalin (thymus polypeptide extract). It regulates immune cell gene expression at the nuclear level instead of only binding to cell surface receptors.

2. Mechanism of Action

  1. Penetrates immune cell membranes and enters cell nuclei to interact with DNA and histone proteins, epigenetically activating silenced genes linked to immune function.
  2. Supports thymic epithelial cell viability, reduces thymocyte apoptosis, slows age-related thymus involution.
  3. Stimulates T-lymphocyte differentiation, balances CD4+/CD8+ ratio, improves innate and adaptive immune activity.
  4. Modulates cytokine secretion, relieves chronic low-grade inflammation; elevates HSP70 heat shock protein expression to enhance cellular stress resistance.
  5. Promotes normal lymphocyte proliferation while suppressing abnormal proliferation of tumor cell lines observed in preclinical models.
  6. Assists immune reconstruction after infection, radiation, surgery or prolonged stress.

3. Main Observed Research Effects

  • Restore immune function in aging and immunosuppression models
  • Reduce frequency of acute respiratory infections
  • Accelerate physical recovery after illness and surgical trauma
  • Balance inflammatory response and enhance antiviral defense
  • Delay immunosenescence (age-related immune decline)
  • Improve stress resilience by stabilizing immune-endocrine crosstalk

4. Reconstitution Instructions (Lyophilized Vial)

Common specifications: 10mg / 20mg per vial

  1. Allow the peptide vial to reach room temperature; sterilize rubber stopper with alcohol wipe.
  2. Slowly inject Bacteriostatic Water (BAC water) along the inner wall of the vial, avoid direct impact onto lyophilized powder.
Recommended mixing scheme: 10mg powder + 2mL BAC water → Concentration = 5 mg/mL
  1. Gently rotate the vial to dissolve powder. DO NOT shake violently to prevent peptide degradation and foaming. Final solution is clear and colorless.
  2. Storage Requirements
  • Unreconstituted lyophilized powder: Store sealed at -20°C, protected from light. Shelf life up to 24 months.
  • Reconstituted peptide solution: Refrigerate 2°C ~ 8°C, stable within 28 days. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

5. Research Administration Protocols

Primary Route: Subcutaneous Injection

Reference Experimental Dosage

  • Adaptation phase: 500 mcg (0.5 mg) daily
  • Standard maintenance dosage: 1000 mcg – 2000 mcg (1–2 mg) daily
  • Injection site: Lower abdomen subcutaneous tissue; rotate injection positions regularly

Cycle Schedule

Standard cycle: 10–20 consecutive days on cycle After finishing one cycle, pause for 3–6 months before starting a new round of administration.

Alternative Research Delivery Route

Intranasal administration: Reference working concentration 0.25–1 mg/mL, once daily for mucosal immune research.

6. Precautions

  1. Pure laboratory research reagent. Not approved for human medical use.
  2. Strict sterile operation required during reconstitution to avoid bacterial contamination.
  3. Discard solution immediately if turbidity, precipitation or persistent local irritation occurs.
  4. Most supporting data comes from preclinical cell and animal experiments; large-scale independent human clinical research remains limited.

Short Version (For Product Page / WhatsApp / Customer Direct Message)

Crystagen (EDP) Peptide

Crystagen (EDP) is a Khavinson-series tripeptide bioregulator targeting the thymus and systemic immune system. It enters immune cell nuclei to regulate gene expression, widely studied for immune restoration, anti-infection support, anti-immunosenescence and post-injury recovery.

Reconstitution

Dissolve lyophilized powder with bacteriostatic water. Rotate gently to dissolve without violent shaking.

Reference Subcutaneous Research Dosage

0.5mg–2mg once daily. Standard cycle: 10–20 days on, rest 3–6 months before reuse.
